The United Way of Quinte received support from Belleville city hall through the inviting aroma of flipped burgers and roasted hotdogs.
The first of three charity BBQs in support of the United Way took place behind city hall in the market square on May 30 and raised over $1000.

They started as competitors. Across the country a month later, they became teammates.
Five Quinte youths with a passion for science travelled to Lethbridge, Alberta, to join 481 others at the Canada-Wide Science and Technology Fair (CWSF). Each created projects that were tested against the scrutiny of the public, other students, and the fair judges.

A registered sex offender has moved to Belleville and the police are warning the public.
Robert Lavergne, 33, who served three years in federal prison for a variety of sexual offences involving minors, moved to Belleville Thursday.
