BELLEVILLE – A multi-car accident on Wednesday morning shut down a lane on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road at the corner of Dundas Street for a short time Wednesday morning.

Around 8:30 a.m. a black Ford Ranger rear-ended an orange Dodge Nitro.

According to the driver of the Dodge Nitro, this caused her car to lurch forward and hit another car in front of hers.

“Accidents happen, that’s why they are called accidents,” said the Nitro driver Laurie Myers.

“But everyone walked away,” said Myers. While the cars were being hoisted onto a flatbed, the young man driving the car that hit her came up to apologize.

Myers said that it was probably the friendliest exchange between people at an accident that she has ever seen.

There was no injuries resulting from the accident and most of the damage appeared to be cosmetic.

The road re-opened around 9:30 a.m.
