Two Dukes make final ranks for NHL Draft

WELLINGTON – A pair of Wellington Dukes defensemen have made the final rankings for the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.

Mason Snell and Declan Carlisle, both 17, both made the NHL Central Scouting’s list of North American skaters. Snell came in at number 173 and Carlisle checked in at number 176.

Both players are currently committed to U.S. colleges, Snell to Penn State and Carlisle to Merrimack College in North Andover, Mass.

The Wellington Dukes are currently playing for the OJHL championship against the Georgetown Raiders. The Dukes currently lead the series one game to zero. Game two is Monday night at 7:30 p.m.

The NHL Entry Draft will take place June 22-23.
