BELLEVILLE – Loyalist College [2] will be opening a Wellness Loft for students later this fall.
Wellness co-ordinator Ryan Stoness [3] says the area will consist of two unique spaces– a studio for hosting classes like stress management and yoga. A smaller space will be a technology-free, quiet, relaxation, and creativity room. The new room will be located at 3L10.
The idea for the Wellness Loft came from looking at what other schools were doing, some schools have sleep rooms and…nap rooms and that’s something we’re probably gonna explore in the space, Stoness said.
The final launch date of the Loft hasn’t been finalized yet, but Stoness says they’re hoping to have it finished by the end of the fall semester.
