BELLEVILLE – An off-duty Quinte West OPP officer was charged with impaired driving after a single-vehicle accident early Sunday morning.
At about 3:30 a.m. Sunday, a car went off the road and hit a fence on Radeski Street in Quinte West., according to the Quinte West OPP [2]. There were no injuries.
The officer, a constable with 13 years of experience, was charged with impaired driving, driving with more than the legal alcohol limit in his blood, and obstructing a police officer.
He is to appear in court in Belleville on the charges on Oct. 25. Meanwhile, he has been assigned to administrative duties.
