BELLEVILLE – Belleville residents will be spending the night outside in cardboard boxes during the harsh weather conditions in support of transitional housing.

Sleep Out So Others Can Sleep In [2] is an event hosted by the Canadian Mental Health Association of the Hastings-Prince Edward Branch [3]. It was created to promote awareness of homelessness, and is also a fundraiser to help raise money for Belleville’s transitional homes.

It will be it’s 12th year, and the event will take place in the Market Square from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Jan. 26.

This week on In Touch with Quinte, Julia Lennips learns more about the event from the executive director of the Canadian mental Health Association, Hastings-Prince Edward Branch.
