BELLEVILLE – The OPP [2] are reminding people to be aware that their online activity is still subject to the law in light of threatening comments on a viral fight video.
A video of an altercation at a Greater Napanee secondary school was posted on social media on Tuesday and has garnered plenty of responses.
Some of these comments make threats of revenge towards the supposed aggressor in the situation. The police involved discourage this kind of online behaviour and any acts of vigilantism in response.
The police have charged a 16-year-old who has now been released and they will appear in court on December 9.
