BELLEVILLE – All four lanes of Trenton Street in Quinte West will remain closed until Thursday after a truck hit a Canadian National Rail [2] bridge causing serious damage on Monday.

There were no injuries in the collision, OPP say.

CN Rail workers are repairing the bridge to clear falling debris from the damage and will continue their work into Thursday. The City of Quinte West [3] says they hope to reopen the street with lane restrictions by the end of the week.

The street is expected to be fully reopened in three weeks.

There will be minimal disruptions to train traffic as the repairs continue.
