BELLEVILLE – After more than a century since the fighting ended, three First World War service people have their place on the Belleville Cenotaph in Memorial Park.
Nursing sister Agnes Florien Forneri, Lt. David Forneri and Sub-Flight Lt. Ellis Vair Reid all had their names engraved onto the stone in July and this Monday was the first Remembrance Day they were included.
John Geen, a relative of the Forneris, highlighted how important remembering service people’s sacrifices is.
