BELLEVILLE – The city of Belleville is opening the warming centre at Victoria Avenue Baptist Church in downtown Belleville Thursday evening as the temperature could drop to -21 C.
Doors will be open at 8 p.m. Thursday night and allow people to stay until 8 a.m. Friday morning.
The church sits on the corner of Victoria Avenue and Pinnacle Street. People can enter through the door on Pinnacle Street.
Back in November, the city announced that the warming centre would be open to those in need when temperatures drop below -15C. The city says it will monitor weather conditions for the rest of the week.
Beds and food will not be provided.
