BELLEVILLE – Belleville’s warming centre will be open [2] on Tuesday night and Wednesday night at Victoria Avenue Baptist Church [3].
With overnight temperatures in the city expected to drop [4] as low as -15 C, the warming centre will be open for anyone who needs somewhere to escape the elements for the night.
The city last opened the warming centre on Friday Jan. 17 and it stayed open until the following Monday. The church’s reverend said that based on the need to clean up afterwards, it seemed the warming centre was well used.
There are no beds or food provided at the overnight warming centre.
