Police seek help in hit-and-run case

BELLEVILLE – Investigators with the Belleville Police are asking for help in identifying several people who helped a woman who was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of a shopping plaza at 44 Moira St. W. on Oct. 7. The vehicle that struck the female pedestrian fled the scene, leaving the seriously injured victim lying on the ground. A nearby citizen called an ambulance and the woman was taken to hospital, where she is still undergoing treatment for major, but not life-threatening, injuries.

The suspect vehicle has been described as a  grey four-door car of a 2004 to 2006  model – possibly a Pontiac. The vehicle may have damage to the front end and windshield area.
