By Jack Carver

BELLEVILLE – The Belleville Bulls ended October on a sour note Wednesday night with the Mississauga Steelheads taking the game with a 3-0 victory.

The Bulls struggled to keep up with the Steelheads throughout a game that had the lowest attendance for the Yardmen Arena this season, with just under 2,000 people showing up.

After an uneventful first period, Mississauga defenceman Trevor Carrick scored the first goal of the game. Steelhead right-wing Andrew Goldberg and centre Everett Clark scored two more goals in the third period.

Belleville led in shots for the first two periods. It ended the game with 39 on the Steelheads’ net, with Mississauga returning 32 to the Bulls’.

In their next game the Bulls host North Bay at the Yardmen on Nov. 2.
