UPDATED:

TRENTON – Quinte West OPP officer David Ludington says that this is still a search and rescue mission.

Charles Dopking, and a man only known as Gus or Goose, were reported missing last night at 10 pm.

Dopking was last spotted boarding Gus/Goose’s boat at 6:30 by the Dufferin Street boat launch in Trenton.

The Quinte West OPP and CFB Trenton’s 424 Search and Rescue Squadron began their search last night.

There has been no sign of the 14 foot aluminum boat so far.

The crews have checked all shorelines, marinas and boat ramps of Quinte West and are now scouring the waters.

Ludington says that once there is sign of debris from the boat, then the underwater search will begin.

Anyone with information should contact the Quinte West OPP at 613-392-3651.
