BELLEVILLE – A Belleville man has been charged after an incident in which police say he threatened his father with a hunting knife.
Police say they were called to a domestic dispute at a home on Wellington Crescent at about 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, where they learned that the son had threatened his father with the knife during an argument. The man had left the residence before they arrived, but he was later arrested at a relative’s house nearby. He was charged with assault with a weapon and released with a promise to appear in court.
The father was not injured in the incident.
The name of the charged man has not been released because he is under the age of 18.
