BELLEVILLE – Protestors from the Tyendinaga First Nation set up a blockade on Shannonville Road Sunday night to draw attention to the issue of missing and murdered Aboriginal women. The blockade has disrupted traffic in the area.
QNet News asked people in downtown Belleville what they think of the blockade.
There was no definite opposition to the protesters. However, some people said they thought the Mohawk protestors should stand up for what they believe in, but they said they’re doing it in the wrong way by blocking traffic.
