Fall festival to take over downtown

By Mo Cranker [1]

BELLEVILLE – The Flavours of Fall Festival is taking place in downtown Belleville this Saturday.

There will be a main stage with multiple music acts, giveaways, a charity barbecue, pumpkin carving, a pie-eating contest, a chili cookoff, pony rides and more free activities for the whole family.

The event will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Some streets around Front Street will be closed for the event, according to Susan Walsh, events co-ordinator for the Belleville Chamber of Commerce [2].

Events and parking are both free. There will be charge, however, for some food items.

“There’s not much that we don’t have at the event … We’re hoping that if it (rains) we will keep everything going as much as we possibly can,” Walsh said.
