BELLEVILLE – The lineup looks different, but the result remained the same for the Belleville Bulls [2] after a 6-5 overtime loss to the Windsor Spitfires on Wednesday night.

Newcomers Trent Fox [3] and Jesse Saban [4] were in the Bulls’ lineup in the loss. Neither recorded a point in the game.

Jordan Subban [5], Brett Welychka [6] and Niki Petti [7] each had four points. Charlie Graham [8] started in net for Belleville and made 32 saves.

The Bulls acquired Fox and Saban from the Erie Otters [9] on Monday, along with six draft picks. Belleville traded away top scorer Remi Elie [10] and former captain Jake Marchment [11] in the deal.

Elie had 34 points in 35 games for the Bulls. Marchment fell out of favour with the club after receiving a 15-game suspension for violating the Ontario Hockey League [12]‘s social-media policy by sending inappropriate messages to a young woman.

The hockey team made the trade after following up a 10-3 start with an 8-17 record since the beginning of November.

The Bulls play next in Kitchener on Friday night.
