By Michelle Poirier

BELLEVILLE – Quinte Conservation and local photographer Phil Norton are offering a virtual tour of the natural wonders of Quinte.

The presentation will take place Feb. 24 at the Quinte Conservation office at 2061 Old Highway 2, Belleville. It is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and admission is free.

The presentation will focus on the work Norton has done as an eco-tourism guide in the local region. There will be a photography presentation and a question-and-answer period following.

Norton is a photographer with an environmental-science degree from Pennsylvania State University. After working as a photojournalist for the Montreal Gazette and as a freelancer covering environmental issues with Canadian Geographic and Harrowsmith magazine he moved to Prince Edward County in 2007. He serves on Quinte Conservation’s Source Protection Committee.

Although admission is free, donations will be accepted for the Adopt An Acre program, which works to protect local green spaces.
