Highway 37 collision sends two to hospital

  • March 3, 2015 at 1:41 pm

BELLEVILLE – Two people were sent to the hospital Monday with non-life-threatening injuries after two cars collided on Highway 37 near Tweed around 2 p.m.

Central Hastings OPP say blowing snow caused adverse driving conditions at the time of the accident near Martin Road.

A northbound car crossed into the southbound lane and struck an oncoming car, police said.

The driver of the northbound car and a passenger in the southbound car were both sent to the hospital.

Central Hastings OPP are reminding motorists to practise safe winter driving habits. In poor conditions they recommend leaving extra travel time as well as extra room to stop and to slow down.
