Remembrance Day ceremonies in the area

BELLEVILLE – Many Remembrance Day ceremonies are taking place in the region Wednesday to honour past and present members of the Canadian Forces.

Loyalist College’s Remembrance Day ceremony is being held in Alumni Hall at 10:50 a.m.

Among those in attendance will be local author Mary Thomas and Major Allan Ferriss, Commanding Officer of the 8 Air Communication and Control Squadron at CFB Trenton.

There will be a parade at the Belleville Armouries at 10:30 a.m. followed by a ceremony at the Belleville Cenotaph at 11 a.m.

The route of the parade has changed this year. The parade will exit the Armouries onto Bridge Street, turn westward to Pinnacle Street and then north on Pinnacle to Station Street. The return parade will follow the same route.
