By Jordan Merkley [1]

BELLEVILLE – Napanee OPP responded to a break and enter call on Old Highway 2 in Marysville [2] early Monday morning.

The suspect broke into the homeowner’s garage and then fled the scene. However, moments later police were advised that the suspect was involved in a fender bender only one kilometre from the house.

A 26-year-old man from Belleville was charged with breaking and entering, impaired driving and being a novice driver with blood-alcohol content over zero.

Napanee OPP also arrested and charged two other people with impaired driving Monday.

A 41-year-old Trenton man failed a roadside screening test and will appear in Belleville court on Nov. 26.

Meanwhile, a 37-year-old man from Loyalist Township [3] has been charged with impaired driving and obstructing police. He pulled into a driveway and ran into a residence in an attempt to escape from police, but they located him inside a bedroom where he claimed to have been sleeping.
