BELLEVILLE – Belleville will be the official site for a casino.
Great Canadian Gaming [2], the company that will be building the casino, is moving forward with plans to bring a site to the city, according to vice-president Chuck Keeling.
“A proposal is being put forward very soon,” he said.
Great Canadian Gaming will present the proposal to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation [3] and the city shortly after its completion.
In September, the OLG gave its approval for a casino [4]in the Quinte area, with Belleville being the preferred location at the time.
The west end of Bell Boulevard has been considered as a potential location, but nothing has been announced yet.
