By Rachel Stark

BELLEVILLE – A tractor-trailer driver was arrested for impaired driving on Highway 401 early Saturday morning.

The Napanee OPP say that shortly after 3 a.m. they began receiving reports that an eastbound truck near Shannonville was swerving all over the road and had scraped against the centre concrete median multiple times.

At 3:45 a.m. police found the truck pulled over near Wyman Road. They arrested the driver and took him to the Loyalist OPP detachment for breath tests.

A 33-year-old man from Laval, Que., is charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusing to provide a breath sample and dangerous driving.

He was released and is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Napanee on Feb. 23.
