BELLEVILLE – A 25-year-old Belleville man was arrested for assaulting a woman and two police officers late Monday night.

Police were called to a motel on North Front Street just after 11 p.m. where the man was arrested for assaulting a woman.

While being arrested the suspect kicked one officer in the leg and spat on another, police say.

No one needed any medical attention.

The man was held for a bail hearing on Tuesday on charges of assaulting a police officer and domestic assault.
