BELLEVILLE – A suspicious package found in front of City Hall this morning was not a danger to the public according to police inspector Chris Barry.
A call was made at 9:30 a.m. about a package in front of a Canada Post drop box in front of City Hall. Police closed off the entrance to the building as they removed the package from the area.
Barry said that after further investigation, police found the package contained items that were not a danger to the public.
