By Ashley Clark

Belleville is home to a lot of deaf and hard of hearing citizens because of Sir James Whitney School for the Deaf, one of only three schools for the deaf in Ontario.

Dan Knott is a second-year animation student at Loyalist College who graduated from SJW. He has been deaf/hard of hearing all his life.

Watch this video and learn what it’s like to be a deaf student for a day.
