BELLEVILLE – There are many reasons people choose to hunt.

Some do it to feed their families, some because they love the outdoors and some say they do it to continue their family traditions.

It’s been a part of human nature since time began, but increasingly more people disagree with the act; deeming it inhumane and unnecessary.

Websites such as “In Defence of Animals [2]” are battling to stop hunting and to curb what they say is a unnecessary loss of life.

QNet News talked to four local hunters from the Quinte region, asking what hunting means to them.
