Driver of stolen vehicle taken into custody

BELLEVILLE –  A man is facing a charge of possession of stolen property over $5000 on Monday after Belleville police responded to the call about a stolen vehicle.

The incident took place on Sidney St. and Bridge St. West.

Officers stopped the vehicle and took the suspect into custody.

A court appearance is scheduled for the new year.
