Man hospitalized after being trapped in vehicle Monday

BELLEVILLE – A 61-year-old male was trapped in the vehicle after a crash at the intersection between Highway 2 and Boulton Road, in Quinte West Monday.

The male was driving a black Nissan when he was hit from behind by a GMC Sierra pick-up truck. Quinte West Fire Department personnel quickly arrived and extracted the driver from his vehicle.

The male was transported to the hospital by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the GMC Sierra has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
