Snowy weather causes several collisions in Belleville area

BELLEVILLE – Residents got a taste of winter on Tuesday morning.

Belleville Police dealt with nine motor vehicle accidents throughout the day on Tuesday after a heavy snowfall overnight Monday dumped more than five centimetres.

Police were called to collisions and accidents from approximately 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. (See timeline below for more information)

According to Environment Canada more snow is expected to come later this week.
