Man dead after snowmobile crash in Tweed

BELLEVILLE – A man is dead after a snowmobile hit a tree in a rural area of Tweed early Saturday morning.

Adam Connolly, a 34-year-old man from Addington Highlands Township, was eastbound on Elzevir Road when he drove off the road and hit a tree, according to Central Hastings OPP. Connolly was pronounced dead at the scene when police arrived at about 12:10 a.m.

OPP technical traffic collision investigators were called in and an investigation is ongoing.
