Trenton Golden Hawks lose to Aurora Tigers

BELLEVILLE – The Trenton Golden Hawks fell short in their home game against the Aurora Tigers on Wednesday night.

The Hawks lost 4 – 2 after the Tigers scored two goals in the third period. 

The teams were tied 2 – 2 after the second period. The Tigers broke the tie with the game-winning goal four minutes into the third period. 

The Golden Hawks play against the Wellington Dukes in the third round of the Battle of Quinte on Friday night. Puck drop is 730 p.m. at the Essroc Arena in Wellington.

After two periods of action, it's tied at two apiece between the Golden Hawks and @TigersJrA! Steven Elliott (10th of the season) and @boman_10 (17th) have the goals for Trenton! Shots in the period even at 9-9.

The @TigersJrA score twice in period three to down the Golden Hawks 4-2. Final shots 29-26 Aurora. The next G-Hawks game is Friday night in the third round of the Battle of Quinte in Wellington against the @OJHLDukes.
