BELLEVILLE – Belleville police have charged a woman who they say took a novel approach to shoplifting.

Police say a woman in her 20s was arrested in a store on Bell Boulevard on Tuesday afternoon. Investigation revealed that she had been in the store before and had taken a couple of items. Police say she wore different wigs during each theft.

She was charged with two charges of theft under $5,000, two charges of possession under $5,000 dollars, and wearing a disguise to commit a criminal offence. She was released and will appear in court in February.
