Crystal meth, weapons among items seized during search

BELLEVILLE –Crystal meth and a taser were among many items seized after Prince Edward County OPP executed four search warrants at multiple locations on Feb 1.

Five people were arrested.

The drugs seized include approximately four ounces of crystal meth, 15 grams of cocaine and a number of hydromorphone and codeine pills and have an estimated street value of $15,000.

Items also recovered during the searches include a 12-gauge shotgun, a taser, a crossbow and a stolen Correctional Services of Canada badge and identification.

The five charged are between the ages of 29 and 42. All are from the Belleville, Kingston and Picton areas and have upcoming court appearances in both Picton and Belleville.
