Police to shave their heads in Cobourg for cancer research

BELLEVILLE – Police officers and other volunteers will be shaving their heads to support cancer research at an event in Cobourg Thursday.

The Cops for Cancer event will take place in the gym at St. Joseph’s Elementary Catholic School in Cobourg.

It has been organized by Cobourg Police Sgt. Mike Richardson, his wife, Angie Richardson, St. Joseph’s teacher Lori Kendrick and four student volunteers.

Police officers from Durham Region, Kingston and Cobourg, as well as members of the public, are welcome to participate.

Additional parking will be available at the Cobourg Lions Centre at 157 Elgin St. E.

Those who wish to donate to the Canadian Cancer Society in connection with the Cops for Cancer event can do so here.
