Social-media threats against high school lead to charges in Centre Hastings

BELLEVILLE – A young man from Tweed has been charged with 10 counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm after an OPP investigation into threats made against Centre Hastings Secondary School in Madoc.

The investigation started April 2 according to the Central Hastings detachment of the OPP.

The young man will appear in youth court in Belleville on May 8.

The OPP said that there is no concern for public safety.
