NORTHUMBERLAND – A tractor-trailer was responsible for a closure on the 401 early Tuesday morning.

Police say that at around 3:00 a.m., they responded to the jack-knifed truck on the westbound lanes of the 401 near the County Road 30 exit.

Police say the vehicle collided with the centre median and caused an unknown amount of damage.

The westbound lanes were closed until shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Police say that the driver was unharmed and that no other vehicles were involved in the collision.
