Concert to raise money for school museum in Prince Edward County

PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY –  A museum dedicated to artifacts and records from old schools around Quinte held a fundraising concert in Wellington on Wednesday.

The concert featured country music with performances from Dave & Lenore Bongard, Dick & Jane Babcock and many others. It was held at Wellington Town Hall where all proceeds went to the Quinte Educational Museum & Archives.

Kathy Reed, a board member of the museum said that the concert had raised over $500. The next concert fundraiser will take place at the Wellington Town Hall on Oct. 17.

The museum is located in Ameliasburgh and provides an archive for educational and social research about the history of education in Ontario.
