BELLEVILLE – The Quinte Labour Council is the second organization to come out in support of Mitch Panciuk’s campaign to become the mayor of Belleville on Tuesday.
The announcement of the council’s support of Panciuk took place at a small event at his campaign office. This is another endorsement for Panciuk, who already gained the support of Belleville’s firefighters [2] last Tuesday.
The only other candidate to have a public endorsement is Egerton Boyce, who has the support of columnist Anne Rector of the Belleville Intelligencer and Ian Stock, a financial advisor with Edward Jones.
Panciuk, along with the other three mayoral candidates will be participating in a municipal debate [3] Wednesday in the Empire Theatre at 7 p.m. The election will take place on October 22nd.
