PICTON — A 17 year old man has been charged by Prince Edward County OPP after emergency services were sent to a home in Gardner, Kansas on Oct. 8.

The practise is called “swatting”. That’s when emergency services are sent to another person’s house for fabricated reasons.

After the incident occurred, police in Gardner say they managed to track the call to an online gaming account belonging to 17 year old Picton man. He is charged with two counts of public mischief and three counts of uttering threats. The young man will have a bail hearing on Tuesday.
