Belleville council candidate meet and greet to be held Wednesday

BELLEVILLE —  The Belleville Chamber of Commerce is hosting a council candidate meet and greet for Belleville Ward 1 candidates Wednesday at the Banquet Centre.

Attendees will have the chance to meet the candidates and hear about their platforms.

All candidates are expected to be there, said Jill Raycroft, chief executive officer of the chamber.

The doors open at 6 p.m. and the event begins at 7 p.m.

Candidates’ biographies can be found on the Belleville Chamber of Commerce’s website.

The municipal election is on Oct. 22 and online voting is open between Tuesday and Oct. 19.
