Belleville teacher wins national award

BELLEVILLE – A teacher at St. Michael Catholic School in Belleville has won $10,000 to share with the school.

Kurtis Hartnell was nominated as an A+ Teacher in the Search for Goodness Teachers Edition Contest 2018.

After a three-month voting period, he was declared the winner and will receive $5,000. St. Michael will receive the other $5,000.

QNet News will be speaking to Hartness and his students this week.
