Does having Christmas decorations up before Remembrance Day matter?

  • November 5, 2018 at 2:40 pm

By Matthew Morgan

BELLEVILLE – An unwritten rule with some Canadians is that Christmas decorations shouldn’t be displayed until after Remembrance Day.

But all over Belleville and the surrounding areas, some residents as well as some retail stores have already put up their Christmas decorations.

For instance, Shoppers Drug Marts in Belleville have their decorations up, and both Dollarama and Wal-Mart have their festive seasonal items out.

QNet News is talking this week with Royal Canadian Legion representatives and members of the public about the issue.

More to come.
