Quinte recycles, but how well?

BELLEVILLE – A Statistics Canada report reveals that Ontario produces more garbage than any other province in Canada. But how are we doing here in Quinte?

QNet News will be speaking with Quinte Waste Solutions this week to find out how well the Quinte region recycles and what can be done to improve.

Quinte Waste Solutions’ website offers a sorting guide on how to properly recycle items into blue boxes on collection day.

This week there is also a battery bag collection, where residents can recycle their dead household batteries in a resealable clear bag on their collection day until Friday.

More to come.
