Glanmore by Gaslight starts this week

BELLEVILLE – A historic house in Belleville is giving special tours just in time for the holidays. 

The Glanmore National Historic Site will be starting special evening tours on Wednesday. The Glanmore by Gaslight tours will re-create the look of gas lighting within the house. Guests will be able to tour the house, which has been decorated for the holidays. 

Guests will also be served refreshments as part of the tour. 

Three evening tours will be given through the month of December. After Wednesday, the other two will be on Dec. 12 and 19. 

Tickets for the event will be $15 for adults and $8 for children. The Glanmore website says guests should make reservations with the historic site in advance. The website also cautions that evening tours may not be suitable for children under five.
