BELLEVILLE – Cities across the globe are working to “orange the world” as part of a movement to end gender-based violence, and Belleville is no exception.
The local Grandmother’s Advocacy Network [1] has brought the Orange Campaign [2] and 16 days of activism against gender-based violence [3] to the city.
The campaign started on Nov. 25, known as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women [4] and wraps up on Monday with International Human Rights Day [5].
This week on In Touch with Quinte, Syerra Turry learns more about the movement from three local GRAN members.
