BELLEVILLE – The Loyalist Lancers varsity teams are back in action this weekend, after a break for the holidays.

The men’s and women’s basketball teams will play on Saturday, both hosting the Georgian Grizzlies. The women’s game will start at 1 p.m., while the men’s game will start at 3 p.m. The Lancers women are hoping to improve on a three and six record, while the men look to build on a solid five and five record.

The Lancers men’s and women’s volleyball teams will see action on Friday, as both teams host the Durham Lords. The women’s game will begin at 6 p.m., while the men’s game will start at 8 p.m. The women will hope to improve to five wins, while the men are hoping for their second win of the season.

While the women’s volleyball team will play its first regular season game since the holidays, the team did participate in an exhibition tournament on Jan. 5. The team lost its match against the Fanshawe Falcons by a score of 3-2.
