BELLEVILLE – Loyalist College’s women’s basketball team won its second game in a row in Tuesday night’s match against the Centennial Colts in Toronto.
The team won 64-29. The Lancers led the game from the start, with a half-time score of 38 to 6.
Meanwhile, second-year nursing student Brittany Mason has been named Loyalist’s athlete of the week for her stellar performance against the Georgian Grizzlies on Saturday. The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association has also listed her as one of its athletes of the week.
The team’s record has now climbed to five and six. Its next game is at home against the Algonquin Thunder at 7 p.m. Friday.
The men’s team was narrowly defeated, 86-79, in Tuesday night’s game against the Colts, also in Toronto. The team’s record is now six and six.
The team plays an away game against the Seneca Sting this coming Tuesday at 8 p.m.
