Cobourg Police searching for woman suspected of threats and theft

BELLEVILLE – A Cobourg man was robbed and threatened with a weapon by a woman in the early hours of Thursday morning, Cobourg police say.

The man says he called police while the woman was brandishing a weapon at him in the Sutherland Crescent area around 1 a.m., police report.

Before this, the man said the woman robbed him near the Pioneer Gas Bar on Division Street, police said.

She is described as about five-feet seven inches tall with blonde hair and was wearing a dark-coloured jacket.

Asked what the weapon was, Cobourg Police declined to answer or provide any other information on the incident.
